In the past 50 years the state of the ocean has been declining tremendously as it is not how it used to be. What has caused this to occur comes from many different areas such as pollution where it can come from high use of fossil fuels. There are other alternatives instead of using fossil fuels for such a long time. We are moving towards a world where there are better alternatives to create energy such as solar panels or biofuel energy. As with these types of energies there is not a lot of risk involved with the ocean when comparing to fossil fuel. As with fossil fuel the oil rigs are located in the ocean and big corporations farm oil over there which can cause some issues with the wildlife and there is the hazard of having an incident like the oil spilling over the again. No one wants another Gulf of Mexico oil spill where it destroyed many of the aquatic wildlife who make their home in the Gulf of Mexico area.
